The heart of the plant, the gasifier, was delivered and erected as soon as the concrete of the base plate was able to bear the load.

24.01.2017 Construction progress
Parallel to the erection of the steel hall structure, the extension for the synthesis gas cogeneration plant was constructed from precast concrete elements. The control centre is also located in the extension on the 1st floor.

Plant components were also added as construction progressed steadily. In the foreground, on the left-hand side, the compressed air tanks can be seen. To the right of it you can see the gas filter.

The steel skeleton construction of the hall structure is completed. You can see the finished cubature of the building. Clearly visible (red) is the thermal afterburning (TNV) on the 1st floor.
At the end of February 2017 the installation of the facade cladding could be started.

After the edges of the plant complex had been constructed, the area was sealed. On the one hand, it serves as a roadway for the delivery vehicles, and on the other hand, it is intended to protect the groundwater from the plant's discharges.
05.01.2018 Progress of construction
At the turn of the year the plant presents itself from the outside as finished. Inside, the cabling continues.
On 30.08.2016, the head of the building department, Martin Prümm, who retired at the end of the month, performed the symbolic ground-breaking ceremony in the presence of Bernhard Mohrs, plant manager of the Koblenz municipal wastewater treatment plant, and Thomas Keßelheim, plant and project manager.
The first excavations began in September.
After laying the basic pipes, the foundation work could begin.
With suitable measures, even frosty days could not stop the progress.
Since 1 September 2017, Bert Flöck has been the new head of the building department of the city of Koblenz. In the course of setting up the key components of the energy-related sewage sludge recycling plant, he and the managing director of KOPF SynGas GmbH & Co.KG, Dr. Mey, are convinced of the progress of the submeasure.
At the beginning of January 2017, steel construction continued.
Also the carnival days did not stop the construction progress.
